Buyers
A buyer's agent who knows the neighborhoods you're eyeing, spots overpriced listings and fights for you in multiple-offer situations.
Find my agent →Romeo is a village in northern Macomb County, mostly in Bruce Township with a piece reaching south into Washington Township. Its downtown on Main Street and its blocks of Victorian homes and Gothic Revival cottages form a historic district, and the Michigan Peach Festival has filled its streets every Labor Day weekend since 1931. A partner agent here can compare a village home with acreage in Bruce Township.
Pick one to get started. It only takes a minute.

Local know-how
The Romeo Historic District is on the National Register, and the village's Historic District Commission reviews permit requests for exterior changes and additions. Ask about any work you have in mind before you buy.
A home in the village pays both village and township taxes, and the village runs its own water and sewer system. Check the tax bill and whether a property is on village utilities.
Outside the village, Bruce Township has larger rural parcels that may use a private well and septic system. Plan for a water test and septic inspection, and ask your lender whether USDA financing may apply.
